The film adaptation will be directed by Kim Ji Woon, responsible for 'The Good, The Bad, The Weird' (2008), 'I Saw the Devil' (2011), and 'The Age of Shadows' (2016).
Set in the distant future where both North and South Koreas agree to establish a joint government, which has been in preparation for a duration of 7 years, the plot focuses on political uprisings on opposing sides which grow fierce when a special police unit is formed to stop the chaos.
Meanwhile, actors Jung Woo Sung and Kang Dong Won are also looking into the project. Jung Woo Sung would be playing the role of training officer Jang Jin Tae, while Kang Dong Won would be taking on Lim Joong Kyung, a special forces member. The film is scheduled to begin shooting in the second half of this year.
