CJ E&M made an official statement concerning the suicide of Producer Lee, who worked on tvN's 'Drinking Alone'.
Producer Lee's family is currently preparing a legal suit against the company for allegedly harsh work hours and negative treatment from other staff members. Producer Lee joined the production as an assistant producer in January of 2016, and his sudden death after not even a year into working at the company is raising questions.
On April 18, CJ E&M stated, "We'd like to express our deep sadness about Mr. Lee. We also express our sincere condolences for the suffering of the family. The company and our employees will take active part in investigations by the police and authorities, and we'll take responsibility for the results of the investigation. We're also preparing measures for the problems indicated. We once again express our condolences to the bereaved family members."
