In the midst of the controversial issues in recreating the tragic event of the 'Sewol Ferry' accident into a film, it appears the crowdfunding site 'Keedari�Funding' has ceased the project on March 24.
The movie was originally slated for April 2018, four years after the tragedy. However, the crowdfunding site made an official statement saying they will be halting the crowdfunding project due to complications within the production process as well as on behalf of the victim's families as they are still in mourning.�
The movie had been met with much controversy, as many thought it was improper since families were still in mourning and such a tragedy shouldn't be made into a movie for any reasons.
