A total of 40 trainees are reportedly getting eliminated in the first round of 'Produce 101' season 2. 
According to an exclusive report by OSEN, the trainees are having their first competition stage on March 26. They will be divided into 16 teams for a 'Cover Mission', where they'll cover the songs of senior idol groups. Their performance will be judged by the 'Nation's Producers' and a total of 40 trainees will be eliminated.

Meanwhile, the trainees have been divided into 6 rankings from A to F and have been under training to prepare for the competition.
The first episode of 'Produce 101' season 2 is set to air on April 7.
