Several photos of YG's new building design have been roaming the web. The design shows a luxurious 9-story building with a 5-story underground parking lot. The construction of the new building does not mean the old one will be taken down. As you can see in the photo, the new building is built next to the current YG building in Mapo-gu, Seoul.
Below is the photo of the current YG building. The small building on its right is being taken down.
In fact, it's reported that the construction has already begun.
A source claims the construction officially started on December 22, 2016, and scheduled to come to be completed on January 21, 2019. It's also stated that construction costs are 45,851,300,000 KRW (approximately $40,547,221 USD).
Many fans believe the expansion is necessary considering the high number of employees and artists under YG Entertainment. What do you think of the rumored new building design for YG?
