The returning labels for the second season will be Cube, Pledis, Jellyfish, and Fantagio agencies. Th incoming new labels will be hip-hop agency Brand New Music along with MAMAMOO and Basick's RBW.
Since there had been low expectations for a male version leading to a rocky start, there has been some difficulties in casting as well.
However, most agencies have agreed to return, not to mention those yet-to-be-announced. Although the Big 3 agencies are not taking part in the show, the first season did present a rather impressive lineup.
A representative stated, "It is true that there were some conflicting issues in casting. There were a few number of male trainees. Despite that fact, we were able to work with numerous agencies in the end. There will be many exciting contestants as well as many much to see and look forward to in this new season."
The rep added, "There will be many enjoyable contestants participating in this season. Although most of them will be made up of trainees, a long-time idol star will also make an appearance. Overall, there is much to see and be entertained by."
The first recording is scheduled to take place on February 26.
