During Seventeen's recent 'V' episode, Seungkwan asked English-speaking members and Chinese-speaking members to share their thank you messages in their native languages since they don't often have a chance to do that on air.
But while Vernon was saying his message, he couldn't remember how to say a certain word in English and just casually substituted it with a Korean word. He stated, "(In English) Wow, it's our first place at...gong joong pa (public broad cast)," and made all the members laugh!
Thankfully, Joshua, also a member from the U.S, helped him out and told him what the English word was!
One fan wrote, "It's okay! I can understand you either way!" Another netizen who didn't know Vernon wrote, "Who is this guy...he's so good looking." A fan replied, "He's Vernon! And he's half white, half-Korean!" Another fan wrote, "It's so funny that I'm still surprised by him speaking Korean because of the way he looks... but I bet he's more comfortable speaking Korean."
