The teacher who was present tried to stop the parent from using violence and called the police, but not before all the other sixth grade students witnessed the attack.
The father of the student testified during the police interview, "I was angry and frustrated that my son came home from school and did not eat because he was bullied and was made fun of at school."
The police investigation continues, and the school is offering counseling sessions for both students.
