Protests continue as President Park's corruption scandal becomes more and more bigger. Last weekend, over 2 million people gathered to demand President Park to step down.
As Koreans gathered in Seoul, Koreans in Canada also held their own protest in Montreal on December 3.
Banners that read, "Step Down Park" could be seen and protestors created a shape of a boat -- Sewol Ferry -- with candles. Yellow umbrellas that also symbolizes Sewol Ferry were also present, reminding everyone of President Park's potential involvement in the tragedy. Koreans, Korean Canadians, as well as non-Korean Canadians gathered to express their support and empathy for Koreans.
Koreans who heard the news of the protest thanked the Canadian protestors, saying, "Thank you for your heart that is thinking about our country from far away," and "It's great to see people taking action."
