Get ready to laugh, cry and be in awe with each and every passing moment in episode 11 of 'The Legend of The Blue Sea.' This time, Heo Joon Jae (Lee Min Ho) can't resist showing his love habits despite Shim Cheong (Jun Ji Hyun) still having a cold heart after realizing he is a con artist. But love isn't the only thing lingering in the air - as something more ominous is in the works.

It seems that Heo Joon Jae isn't the only one having recollections and dreams from his past life as Ma Dae Young is also having the same visions. He has flashbacks to his death by the hands of Kim Dam Ryeong and easily puts two and two together to soon realize that Heo Joon Jae and his girlfriend are the king and the mermaid.
Once again, the plot keeps getting better and better as the investigators are getting more involved and revealing more crucial information regarding not only Ma Dae Young but also the wicked Kang Seo Hee - who has been a bit mysterious up to now.
It turns out that all of her past husbands were also rich and suffered from some sort of mysterious death that usually led to them being blind just before. As viewers can piece together, Kang Seo Hee is responsible for the illness of Heo Joon Jae's father and it is only a matter of time before something far worse will happen. Despite all the threats, the storyline offers some serious life lessons in a sugar-coated way that made anyone watching smile yet think twice.
Once again I feel bad for Shim Cheong's naive ways. Jun Ji Hyun is excellent at acting blissfully unaware and portraying Shim Cheong's curiosity for life in Seoul - but, sadly, it means Shim Cheong cannot avoid being taken advantage of.
Those horrible high school girls stole her bag and robbed her so easily and really show no remorse. She reminds me of myself and how it is easy to be taken advantage of in this cruel world, sometimes. Just like Heo Joon Jae says, "I may be a bad guy, but there are even worse people in this world." Lesson of the week, everyone!
Speaking of lessons, let us not forget the thought-provoking words the Gangnam beggar and the elementary student had for both Shim Cheong and Heo Joon Jae. The Gangnam beggar has a unique perspective but makes sense as she states, "You wouldn't be searching for something if you didn't neglect it in the first place." Like I said, episode 11 was just one giant life lesson.
Lookin' fresh as always.
The elementary girl also has a realistic aspect on life that is straightforward and quite necessary for Shim Cheong to hear in order to develop as a character. Even Jo Nam Doo questions how Shim Cheong is becoming more and more aware of the world and she has the little girl to thank for that raw honesty - especially regarding the behavior of adults and lies.
Lessons aside, let us not forget that Heo Joon Jae can now hear Shim Cheong's pure voice! By far my favorite scenes involved all of Heo Joon Jae's attempts at using his newfound abilities to please Shim Cheong. From placing a warm blanket around her to lying about making her favorite ribs back at home, he was doing anything and everything to make her happy and come back to his side. TOO CUTE!
The face I make when someone says 2016 was such a great year!
Chi Si Ah is starting to blossom into a likable character as well. Due to Tae Oh's fake love confession, she seems to open up and show a more considerate side rather than an icy one. I think she does have good intentions and will, ultimately, be there to help Shim Cheong and Heo Joon Jae.
However, help will be needed sooner than we think as episode 11 brought on the shock of a lifetime! Instead of catching Ma Dae Young, who was seen stalking Shim Cheong outside of an elementary school, the investigators stumble upon Heo Joon Jae instead and arrest him before he could get to Shim Cheong in time to deliver his cute Christmas present!
As Shim Cheong is left standing by the fountain on the coldest winter night, Ma Dae Young slowly closes in on her and watches her from a distant before making his final move. With the black moon shining bright and ominously over Seoul and tensions rising, we can only expect some sort of climax in the next episode of 'The Legend of The Blue Sea.'
