Korea is preparing for perhaps one of the largest protests in its history this weekend.
A large candlelight vigil-style protest urging President Park's resignation will take place on November 12 in Seoul Square, starting from 4 P.M. KST, and it is expected to continue into the early morning of November 13. According to Yonhap News, the organizers of the protest expect anywhere from 500,000 to a million protesters to gather. The police force agencies are expecting less and expect around 160,000 to 170,000 citizens to protest.

In the last protest, there were about 200,000 protestors who filled the Seoul Square. However, this weekend's protest, an increase of participation can be expected since more details of Choi Soon Sil's involvement in President Park's governing of the country have been revealed.
Additionally, for this round's protest, many regional citizen unions and organizations from around the country are renting buses to make their way to the capital city. It is already reported that all the charter buses from many cities have been booked, and KTX (Korean railroad system) tickets from major cities to Seoul have been sold out since earlier today.
The Kyunghyang Newspaper reported that there were initially only about 50,000 - 70,000 participants from Busan who were headed to Seoul for the weekend protest, but many more have expressed their desire to join, making the expected attendees jump up to 100,000 people. They had initially rented 120 charter buses, but have since increased the number of buses to 250. Many other cities have a similar number of citizens who have already signed up to go to Seoul.
Since this is expected to be the largest candlelight vigil protest, all three major mobile service providers are getting ready as well. According to E-Daily, "three wireless service providers are adding switchboards and increasing Wi-Fi data service, preparing for a smooth and uninterrupted service for the protesters in the Square."
For the upcoming November 12 protest, celebrities will be making their appearances as well. After a planned march wraps up at around 7 P.M., there will be a cultural festival titled, 'Let's Gather! Be Angry! #StepDownParkGeunHye'. Entertainers such as Kim Jae Dong, Kim Mi Hwa, and singers Lee Seung Hwan, Jun In Kwon, and Jung Tae Choon are going to be performing and making speeches during this festival.
