Rookie girl group Momoland shared their thoughts on being compared to TWICE and IOI during their debut showcase.
Momoland held a debut showcase on November 9 to kick off their first mini album, 'Welcome to MOMOLAND'.
During the interview, the group was asked about TWICE and IOI -- groups that also debuted through a survival reality program. Yeonwoo responded by saying, "We are the latest girl group that did a survival show. Before us, TWICE and IOI sunbaes displayed great work [since the shows]. We want to do our best to emulate their passion and work ethic."
Another member, Hyebin added, "Momoland is a group that is like an amusement park, as the name suggests. We prepared music that might be heard at an amusement park. We will become a group that brings sounds that didn't exist before with different sound effects...We will be able to present various strengths because all 7 members are so unique."
