A man who killed a kitten and seriously injured a puppy out of anger has received his sentence for animal abuse. 

According to the police report, the 48-year-old man with the surname Park tried to check into a motel in Suwon with the animals he had just purchased at a market earlier that day. When the motel said that animals are not allowed in, Park became upset and threw the puppy and kitten on the floor. The kitten died from injuries suffered from the throw while the puppy was seriously injured.

The Suwon district court stated, "Based on the evidence submitted by the prosecution, the defendant is guilty as charged. However, the defendant admits his guilt and is repentant. He bought the animals in order to live with them, and the crime was not premeditated," explaining his sentence to pay a fine of 700,000 KRW (~$700 USD).
