A 48-year-old man who raped his son's teenage girlfriend was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison. The Jeonju court reported on November 2 that the man would also need to complete 50 hours of a sex crime rehabilitation program.

The police report says that the man raped his son's 19-year-old girlfriend after he saw her walking out of the shower and he felt aroused upon seeing her with only a towel around her. After she went into the son's room, the 48-year-old followed her, threatened to hit her, then sexually assaulted the victim.
The court stated, "He admits his guilt and settled with the victim, but the crime is heinous and the victim has suffered an immeasurable emotional injury," explaining the sentencing.
