On the October 5th airing of 'Cultwo Show', GOT7 talked about Jinyoung's recent stage name change.

To DJ Cultwo's question asking why Jinyoung suddenly decided to change his stage name, Jinyoung answered, "My family always wanted me to promote with my legal name, but I was hesitant because it's the same name as producer J.Y. Park, but I decided to change it after giving it a deep thought."

Another question for all GOT7 members followed that asked, "If you guys become aggravated by J.Y. Park, then can't you just call on Jinyoung?" The boys then responded, "Actually, when we were preparing for our concert together, we called on Jinyoung and both of them turned around." GOT7 also shared J.Y. Park's reaction to the situation and said, "He just coughed."
