'Running Man' has been swept up in yet another 'IlBe' controversy.
Ilbe is notorious for its misogynistic users who emphasize freedom of speech and use that right to make controversial statements and trends. One of these trends includes expressing hatred towards former President Roh and mocking his suicide.
During one of the games, Gary became the goalkeeper and Kim Jong Kook called him 'Gae Woon Jae', after the famous Korean goalkeeper Lee Woon Jae. However, in a later scene, the word was instead typed to be 'Gae Woon Ji'. 'Woon Ji' is the term 'IlBe' users use to make fun of President Roh's death.
This isn't SBS' first time being using an 'IlBe' term. Since 2013, 'IlBe' terms have shown up on programs such 'Sports News', '8 O' Clock News', 'Capture the Moment How is that Possible', 'Late Night TV Entertainment', and more.
What do you think of all the times that SBS chalked up to human error? Is it just a coincidence?
