The label stated:
"As shown on broadcast, the 'Momoland' members held their final stage this past September 3, and performed two songs which will be included in the 'Momoland' group's debut album. Unfortunately, the 10 Duble Kick Company trainees failed their final mission of 'Draw 3,000 people for a crowd'. During the performance, approximately 2,300 people gathered, but the debut goal of 3,000 people was not reached.
If the trainees had achieved their debut goal, we had planned to debut them right away, but because they failed the final mission, Hyebin, Jooyi, Nancy, Ahin, Yeonwoo, Nayoon, and Jane will push back their debut for a little while and embark on new challenges to show everyone a better side.
The 'Momoland' girls now have a new task ahead of them. They will attempt to debut again through a variety of experiences and skill acquisitions. In order to do so, where ever the 'Momoland' girls are sought out, they will go and meet you, and we will also do our best to invite you to 'Momoland'."
The other trainees who unfortunately did not earn a place in the girl group will return to being trainees under Duble Kick Company.
