On the August 15 airing of 'Kim Chang Ryul's Old School,' Baek Ji Young named "My Ear's Candy," featuring Taecyeon, as one of her top three songs.
The singer said, "I received this song from Bang Shi Hyuk. At the time, I really wanted to sing an uptempo song. After 'I Won't Love,' I didn't receive any uptempo songs [from producers]. So I visited Bang Shi Hyuk and requested him to write an upbeat song," relaying the behind story of "My Ear's Candy."

Baek Ji Young continued, "I heard two other songs at the time but I don't even remember the other songs because I liked this one so much. I also expressed my wish to work with Taecyeon after listening to '10 Out of 10.'"
When DJ Kim Chang Ryul jokingly asked her if she had ulterior motives when in selecting Taecyeon, Baek Ji Young flared up, "What do you mean 'ulterior motives'? He is twelves years younger than I am!"
