The singer's report cards from high school and Georgetown University were revealed, and they were full of straight A's with high B's sprinkled in here and there. Though Roy Kim admitted that he had a hard time in a science course, he was a natural at foreign languages, validated with an A in Chinese. His overall GPA in university was a 3.81; unfortunately, because he is enrolled as an international student, he was unable to receive any scholarships.

When asked if the people at his school know he is a singer, Roy Kim answered, "That's how they made it seem. After I said I would go on 'Superstar K,' I had to take a long break from school. This is something that needed a lot of understanding that I told my school that I'm a famous star who had to go on the program."
