Though Roy Kim admitted that he had a hard time in a science course, he was a natural at foreign languages, validated with an A in Chinese. His overall GPA in university was a 3.81; unfortunately, because he is enrolled as an international student, he was unable to receive any scholarships.�

When asked if the people at his school know he is a singer, Roy Kim answered, "That's how they made it seem. After I said I would go on 'Superstar K,' I had to take a long break from school. This is something that needed a lot of understanding that I told my school that I'm a famous star who had to go on the program."�
