Rapper Awkwafina joins the cast of 'Ocean's Eight' with Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, and more

According to Deadline, Awkwafina's joining of the cast brings the lineup to a total of seven actresses; the lineup originally consisted of just Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett. Now, with five new additions including Awkwafina and other big names such as Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Helena Bonham Carter, and Rihanna, 'Ocean's Ocho' is just one member short of a full house.�

'Ocean's Ocho' is the spinoff of the popular franchise which began all the way back in 1960 with 'Ocean's 11' featuring Frank Sinatra. The upcoming remake will be directed by Steven Soderbergh, the same guy behind the 2001 'Ocean's Eleven' version featuring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts, and Andy Garcia.�
