Police ascertained that a total of six students were afflicted with bodily harm, and pinpointed a teacher identified by surname Park as the perpetrator of this horrific abuse. Police revealed that Park carried around a needle in the pocket and pricked the students with it and tied up their hands with tape every time they acted up.
The abused children were said to be special needs, residing at social welfare centers, hailing from multi-cultural backgrounds, or living with a single parent. A police rep stated that the teacher told the students they will "be more obedient" when they receive the shots.
Police have arrested Park without detention, and during investigations, Park admitted to tying the children's hands with tape but denied the charges of pricking them with a needle.
Other teachers have voiced their concerns regarding Park but it was confirmed that the preschool would simply let Park off with a warning. South Chuncheong Province's Education Department immediately dismissed Park after gaining knowledge of the abuse.
The police are currently investigating whether there are any additional child victims at the preschool.
