The grandfather who denied sexually assaulting a young girl to the very end has been met with a punishment.
YTN News revealed that the case they first covered last year has now concluded with a jail sentence of 10 years on Mr. Park, a 74-year-old step-grandfather to his victim.
According to the report, starting back in 2004, after the granddaughter became an adult at 20, he told her, "I will give you sex ed," and chronically assaulted her sexually. Unable to endure it any longer, last year, the granddaughter reported Mr. Park to the police and twelve years after the situation first began, the results from the first trial have come out.

The Suwon District Court sentenced the 74-year-old man to ten years in jail and ordered him to take 80 hours of a program for treating sexual violence. The court stated, "Not only did a grandfather sexually abuse his granddaughter instead of protecting her but he also seems to be feeling no remorse."
Mr. Park had even mobilized his wife and other family members to ask for perjury, but continued to deny the crime. He has applied for an appeal.
