Eric Nam talked about his education and the high-paying job that awaited him afterwards on the June 23 airing of JTBC's 'Old House New House.'
He said about his stay in the United States, "I studied international relations at Boston College. I got a job at an accounting firm but went to do volunteer work for a year before; while I was in India, I was contacted by the audition program."
When asked, "Is it true that you'd have a salary of hundreds of millions of KRW (~ tens of thousands of USD) if you weren't a singer?" Eric Nam replied, "Including the bonus, it is correct that it'd be hundreds of millions of KRW. I thought about it a lot. I really wanted to go back but it also seemed like a waste to not properly try being a singer and to give it up."
