Another incident of a somebody attacking a random stranger has arisen.
According to the Seongdong Police Station of Seoul, at 2:23 AM on June 1, a 25-year-old Mr. Lee followed a 25-year-old woman who was returning home. Once their eyes met, he pulled out a blunt weapon he was holding onto and hit the woman multiple times on the head.
He told her, "If you stay still, I will spare your life," and began to drag her to the alley when he sensed people approaching and fled the scene.

The police got ahold of a CCTV near the site, which showed Mr. Lee driving his car in pursuit of the woman who was riding a taxi. He had escaped through the same car. The police got the license plate number of the car Mr. Lee was driving and was tracking him down when at 3:15 AM the same day, they confirmed that he had killed himself by jumping off an apartment building that was not his place of residence.
The police plans to further investigate Mr. Lee's actions and his weapon before forwarding the case to the prosecution office without the right of arraignment.
