An art professor at a Gangwon Province university is suspected of sexual harassment against students, stirring up a controversy. As investigations into this case continue, some people are protesting the possibility that because the school is delaying its disciplinary action against the professor, he may never be punished for what he did to the students.
According to the talk on campus, the professor is suspected of touching female students' body parts in the midst of his lectures. Victimized students said, "It would be normal for him to touch our hands, arms, and shoulders, and he would even place his hand inside our clothes saying that he'll clean up the oil stain on our clothes." Further, the professor was known to ask female students for their numbers and request to visit them.

Having had enough of the professor's sexual advances, the students finally exposed his actions on social media. The university's student council revealed that they received reports from 17 victimized students. After learning of the professor's assaults from the student council, the school decided last month to remove all of his lectures to prevent him from coming in direct contact with the students.
Subsequent the cancellation of his classes, the professor attempted to explain himself to the student body; however, the students refused to accept his excuses, and he is currently in the process of preparing a more detailed justification and plans to hold a meeting with the student body. Meanwhile, the school is conducting yet another investigation into the case.
The disciplinary action against the professor will be decided at the end of this month after his meeting with the students and the conclusion of the school's investigation.
A rep from the school emphasized, "There are people who believe that we will let the suspect off with a light punishment or that we will just carelessly cover the whole incident up, but we assure you that no such thing will happen. We are taking care of the incident carefully and judiciously."
