The men who gang-raped a Swedish woman whom they met in front of a Hongdae club was apprehended by the authorities.
YTN reported on May 31 that Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency (SMPA) arrested three men on charges of raping an intoxicated Swedish woman and that they have submitted recommendations for prosecution to indict the culprits for their crime.
The three men reportedly approached the woman outside of a Hongdae club this past May 14, drank with her until early next morning, and when she was knocked out, they dragged her to a nearby motel and gang raped her. It was reported that the men also took pictures of the woman while she was naked and unconscious.
The victim has reported the crime to the Swedish Embassy, and the perpetrators' crimes were exposed when the Embassy requested the SMPA for an investigation into the woman's claims.
