'Youth Over Flowers - Africa' apologizes for past controversy

Previously, netizens pointed out that during an episode of 'Youth Over Flowers - Africa', the 4 cast members took off their underwear in a public swimming pool, causing many viewers to frown at the actors' unruly actions. In addition, one caption used during the same episode referred to the Japanese term 'Tokko Tai', causing netizens to again speak up against using controversial Japanese terminology in a Korean broadcast. 

The staff of the show took a few moments during the broadcast to apologize for the past controversy ahead of the show's finale, with, "We are sincerely sorry for inflicting viewers with disappointment and discomfort due to our mistakes."
