The National Police Agency uploaded on its Facebook a near miraculous video of how a police officer broke virtually all road rules yet still managed to drive perfectly safely to the closest hospital.
The video was taken from a police car as a couple officers were making a round of the Gwangju metro area on March 19. As the officers were about to pass a department store, an employee rushes out on to the road to stop the vehicle. Sensing that an emergency was at hand, the offers pulled to a stop and a panicked mother holding her injured child got on the vehicle. The child had somehow suffered an injury to the head, and a good amount of blood was streaming from the wound.
The mother said, "We called the ambulance but because there were too many other reports, they said it would take over 10 minutes to get here."

The officer noted the mother's urgency to get her child safely to the hospital and worked hard on the gas, driving in the opposite lane, passing, and flying through red lights. Thanks to the officer's driving, and all the other drivers who got out of the police car's way, the mother was able to get her child to the hospital in just three minutes!
The police assured netizens that the child was also fine, relaying, "The child spilled a lot of blood but thankfully, [the injury] was not life-threatening."
