According to an April 18 Yonhap News report, Daejeon Dunsan Police Station arrested a 31-year-old man for setting fire to his ex-girlfriend's home.
The man had visited his ex's home, which was situated on the fifth floor of a multipurpose building this past April 14 around 12:10 a.m. When the man realized that the home was empty, in an impulsive act of rage, he poured gasoline and set fire to her residence.
Thankfully, the fire department arrived in the nick of time to extinguish the flames before any lives were lost.
During the investigation process, the man confessed, "[My ex] didn't answer her phone so I got angry," revealing that he and his ex split over a year ago and that he had used the gasoline that was in his car.
