The couple who mercilessly beat their middle school daughter to death and thought that prayer would bring her back to life is inciting the public's wrath for not appearing the least bit remorseful for their crimes.

During the first hearing that was held on April 1 at Incheon District Court, when asked by the presiding judge whether he admits to all his charges, 'A' answered, "Yes, I admit to them." 'A's wife 'B' also stated the same. Both 'A' and 'B' were said to be wearing blank, lifeless expressions, and 'A' reportedly stared straight into the prosecutor's face as he relayed the facts of his crimes.

While 'A' didn't write up any letters of apology, 'B' submitted to court a total of apology letters since she was arrested.

Rather than be charged with simple murder, the couple was charged with crimes for violating various laws on child abuse.

The next hearing will be held at Incheon District Court on April 15.
