Porn at a bus stop is the last thing that commuters expect to see, so imagine everyone's surprise when that's exactly what played for nearly an hour on the digital billboard at a bus stop in Yeosu City, South Korea.
According to what the Yeosu Police Station stated on April 25, a pornographic clip displaying a man and woman having sexual intercourse was broadcast for around 40 minutes at a bus stop in front of Yeosu City Seogyo-dong's West Market.
Officers were immediately dispatched to handle this public disturbance, and they covered up the video board with various flyers and leaflets. Moments later, Yeosu City officials arrived to shut off the video board's electrical power. However, the damage was already done and many people had already viewed the pornographic content.
According to Asia Today, a city official pointed out the flawed manner in which these bus hubs are run by the local government. The official reportedly stated, "From 8:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., [the bus stops] are manned, but aside from that, no one else is on duty. It's probably the same way at other local governments."
Currently, the police are in the process of investigating who broadcast the pornographic content and for what purpose.
