2NE1 members were unaware of Minzy's departure from the team?

CL, Park Bom, and Dara are just as shocked as the rest of us at the news of Minzy's departure from 2NE1 and YG Entertainment. 

On April 5, YG officially announced that Minzy is parting ways with 2NE1 and its label. The news brought great shock to many fans, and it turns out that other 2NE1 members were also unaware of the news until the official announcement.

According to a YG associate, "Minzy did not discuss the issue regarding her departure from the team with rest of the members. The unexpected news brought great shock to the three." 

It is true that the girls struggled to stay strong over the years with various controversies, but the members had the great desire to remain together. However, things ultimately did not work out, and 2NE1 is now a team of 3.
