MAMAMOO were one of the guests on the March 3 airing of 'Cultwo Show,' and the girls busily got to chatting with the MCs about their newfound popularity and the meaning behind their peculiar name.
The girls revealed that it's the first time that they've ever been on the show and when the MCs asked them whether they really felt their popularity. They said, "We've only listened to the show on radio so far so it feels fascinating that we're actually on here."

The MCs also asked the girls about the meaning behind their group name. MAMAMOO replied, "It signifies the sound that babies make. 'MAMA' means mother. So it means that we want to approach our listeners organically and instinctively with our music."
