Idols commemorate Korea's Independence Movement Day

Numerous idols uploaded flag photos on their SNS to commemorate Korea's Independence Movement Day.
March 1 is a meaningful day in Korean history. On March 1, 1919, Korea stood up for its independence from Japan. A series of protests took place across the country where Koreans marched the streets shouting, "Daehan Minguk Mansei", which means 'Long live Korea'.
This protest by brave Koreans ultimately led to Korea's independence, but also came with brutality as about 7,000 protesters were killed, 16,000 wounded, and more than 45,000 arrested. Property damage was also abominable with more than 700 houses, churches, and schools destroyed.
