He's had a lot of controversy surrounding his frequent missing of official B2ST business, up to a point where both he and his label issued an apology. However, it seems whatever problem is causing him to miss his promotions, it still persists because he is missing yet another fanmeeting, this time in Taipei.

The hosts of the fanmeeting explained, "We've been waiting for a confirmed answer from Korea as to if Hyunseung could come to Taipei. Disappointingly, we just heard that Hyunseung will not be making it to the Taiwanese fanmeet. The 5 members will be coming without Hyunseung."

The company re-emphasized that they were hoping that the friction between Hyunseung and his label to be solved so Hyunseung could come, but in the end were very disappointed that he could not. The company added, "If some fans want to refund their tickets because of Hyunseung's absence, all we can do is say sorry and we cannot force them to keep the tickets. Please keep supporting B2ST."
