Super talented singer Son Seung Yeon graced the stage of 'Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook' with her presence on February 26!
She appeared for the first time ever, so she said, "It hasn't hit me. I really wanted to come out on this program. I'm not the type to get nervous, but I'm shaking." Despite seeming honored to be on the show, she proceeded to ask the MC, "There was something I wanted to ask you if I met you. Do you really like those stuff? You look wicked," hinting at his affinity for 19+ things. He was taken aback, but she added, "I like those stuff, too."
He wittily responded with, "You should've told me earlier," causing laughter in the venue. On top of that, she revealed that she was the same age as IU and Taemin, who also appeared on the show this day. All three were born in 1993.
Son Seung Yeon was asked when she became resolved to do music. "I thought to myself that I had to do music since I was fourteen years old," she revealed. "I auditioned at everything from auditions, including of course at the three big companies, to song festivals, but I failed every single one. Honestly, I should have failed all that time. It wasn't the concept those people were looking for and I lacked in visuals. That is why I did a lot of mulling and wandering. I thought that maybe I wasn't meant to be a singer, but right when I was about to give up, I got good results from my last attempt in 'Voice of Korea.' If I hadn't done well there, I would have give up on becoming a singer."
We're all very glad you didn't give up! You'd be robbing the world of the voice of an angel!
