Regarding his family's response, Ryu Joon Yeol said, "Of course they're happy about it, but they're the type to not make a big deal about it. I was a upset when they told me, 'This kind of popularity is ephemeral. Do not be too excited.'"
Despite his sadness at his family's wise words, the actor continued, "I am of the thought that popularity is something that comes briefly before going away again. I can't be the focus of everything, and if I get attention, it moves on to other people, too, so I am trying to be as composed as possible about it."
