The demonstrators, of which there are said to be around 20, consist of Korean residents in England, international students, and English citizens. This demonstration included a special sit-in from a 'live girl statue' who sat motionless throughout the protest.
This organization had gathered to oppose the Japanese government's decision to relocate the controversial girl statue signifying the Japanese armies' cruelties during war time and to inform English citizens of the horrors the 'comfort women' suffered.
The protesters proclaimed, "Remembering the comfort women who suffered during the war with an imperialist nation is important for world peace."
