'Produce 101,' the audition survival program that has been all the hype lately, is swept up in a controversy after a media outlet exposed the contents of the contract that all contestants had to sign.

The most controversial parts of the contract were that the contestants are prohibited from taking legal action against any manipulated ('evil editing') edits made on the show and that they will not be receiving any sort of fees for appearing on the show.

'Produce 101' has stepped forward to address the exposing of the contract's details on February 16, explaining, "It's regrettable that the contents of the contract were revealed [to the public]. The contract content in question is the general, widely accepted standard content. The clauses are provisions created to protect the editorial rights of the broadcasting station and to minimize spoilers of classified broadcast content. The contract's wording wasn't written to be distorted," and added, "We will take extra caution so that there will be no more worrisome matters in the producing of our program.
