Son Seung Yeon revealed what sparked her 3-year weight loss journey on the January 30th installment of MBC's 'Human Documentary'.
The 'monster rookie' revealed that she's been dieting since her debut 3 years ago, sharing, "I've lost over 22 pounds (10 kg). That's why I always worry that I'll gain weight the next day. I eat lunch, and I hardly eat anything afterwards." Son Seung Yeon also added that there were very specific reasons that she started her diet, such as clothing fit and negative comments.
She went on, "When I wear sponsored clothes, they're always fit for models or girl groups. Frequently, there would be no sizes for me. I've even bought clothes personally, and there were a lot of problems like that."
She also received some nasty comments after appearing on television. Son Seung Yeon said, "I really hated comments like, 'God is fair,' 'She sings well, but she looks like that,' 'Why is she coming out on TV like that.'"
