The KBS drama 'Murim School' just began airing but apparently there is already some production conflict. According to a rep on January 23, the production for the drama 'Murim School' has been temporarily suspended.
That's because the production company JS Pictures and the broadcasting company KBS are disagreeing about the production fees and number of episodes to air.
Both JS Pictures and KBS were previously reported to have disagreeing opinions about how much KBS should pay JS Pictures for production fees. And then more recently, KBS suggested that the drama 'Murim School' be cut from the originally planned 20 episodes to 16 episodes.
KBS was reported to have been initially skeptical about the plan for 'Murim School', but as ratings have not been good, they made the early decision to cut the number of episodes.
After this, JS Pictures asked for a pay increase, and KBS responded by saying they could not give more than what was originally planned.
Four episode of 'Murim School' have aired so far, and as of January 23, 8 episodes have been filmed. So it appears that the next four episodes will air as planned on time.

The script is said to have been written until episode 13 so far. Let's hope this conflict gets settled soon so that 'Murim School' won't have to face a halt in their episodes!
