A story of a young man named Justin Harris, who holds dual citizenships in both Korea and the U.S., choosing to voluntarily enlist in the ROK Army is being commended for his brave, selfless decision!
The ROK Army shared the story of 21-year-old Harris, who enlisted in South Korea's mandatory military service without giving up his Korean citizenship. Harris, born to an American father and Korean mother, could have easily chosen to abandon his Korean citizenship and not serve the mandatory military service required of all Korean men.
However, Harris thought it only right to enter the military and do his duty, considering that South Korea is where he grew up.
