Kim Woo Bin and Lee Hyun Woo's movie 'The Technicians' to get a sequel?

If you enjoyed movie 'The Techicians,' you might be excited to hear that a sequel is possibly in the works!

One media outlet reported on January 20 that they were told by movie insiders, "'The Technician's sequel 'The Technicians 2' got an investment from China's Alibaba Group and will be produced with a very huge amount of approximately 15 billion KRW (~ 12 million USD).  Director Park Hong Soo, who directed 'Commitment,' will be holding the megaphone."

However, production company Trinity Entertainment responded to this news with, "It is true that we signed a contract with Alibaba Group for a big movie production with 15 billion KRW.  But apart from that, the content is untrue."  Still the rep added, "The content is similar to 'The Technicians,' but we have not yet decided if it would be a sequel or an entirely different production.  In relation to the director, we haven't decided on anything, either."
