A citizen came to the rescue by lending a helping hand in the capture of a man who was wreaking havoc on the road with his drunken driving.
Suwon Nambu Police Station revealed this past week that they booked a 55-year-old man identified as 'A' on charges of violating traffic laws.
'A' is charged for crashing into a vehicle that was waiting for the light to change in Suwon City's Paldal-gu on the afternoon of January 5.
The authorities were able to locate 'A' after receiving a tip from another driver that happened to witness 'A' drunken conduct.
The police officer that was dispatched to take care of 'A' waved his baton in an attempt to stop 'A's vehicle, all to no avail.

The officer quickly sought the help of a nearby citizen, asking to "chase 'A's vehicle" since there was no time to return to his police car.
The citizen stepped up to lend a helping hand, and the police officers was able to tail 'A' before 'A' finally stopped after colliding with another vehicle that was waiting for the light.
After testing his alcohol level, police determined that 'A's intoxication level was 0.067%, which is high enough to get his license suspended. Fortunately, no one was hurt from 'A's dangerous driving.
A police rep relayed thanks to the nameless citizen that lent a helping hand, saying, "We want to say thanks to the citizen who helped us out."
