The actor admitted, "I want to say that 'Reply 1994' is more enjoyable. But I saw that the viewership ratings [of 'Reply 1988'] surpassed those of 'Reply 1994.' If the emphasis for 'Reply 1994' was finding a husband, the current series focuses more on drama revolving the family so I'm having fun watching it. I'm not sure if they're going to offer a cameo for me in 'Reply 1988.' But I'm waiting for a call," staying hopeful.
The actor also revealed that he feels a certain kinship with Park Bo Gum's character in 'Reply 1988.' He said, "I identify with Park Bo Gum in 'Reply 1988.' The way he loves someone one-sidedly included. I hope that Taek (Park Bo Gum's character in the drama) fulfills the love that I couldn't."
