High school student and her boyfriend arrested for killing their own baby

A high school student who strangled her own baby and had her boyfriend dispose of her in a stream was caught by the police.

Ansan Danwon Police Station revealed that they filed arrest warrants for 18-year old 'A' and her 20-year-old boyfriend 'B' on charges of infanticide.

'A' is suspected of suffocating her newborn with a rubber band after giving birth to her at her home in Danwon City this past December 14. 'A' had hidden her pregnancy from her family and given birth to her baby in the bathroom while her family was asleep.

It was investigated that after she committed the awful crime, she dumped her baby's corpse into a plastic bag and handed it over to 'B', who resided in the same apartment complex. 'B' then proceeded to dispose of the baby at a stream located 10 minutes from his home around 2:10am the same day. 'B' is suspected of throwing the corpse into the stream after attempts to burn it failed.

The corpse was found by a passerby who happened to be taking a walk by the stream in the morning. When found, the baby was still in the plastic bag along with the placenta and a rubber band wrapped around her neck. There were also burn marks on the corpse's left thigh and buttocks.

Police secured the CCTV footage from the cameras installed in the stream's vicinity and used the footage to track down 'B' and arrested him as soon as they found him.

The police plan to conduct an autopsy on the corpse in order to determine the exact cause of the death.
