Singer Yoo Seung Joon has not given up yet. It was revealed by legal reps in an exclusive by Korea Daily on November 17 that he has sued the LA consulate general to cancel its refusal to issue a visa for him.
Back in September, he had requested a visa from the LA consulate general to enter South Korea, but was rejected, leading him to submit a complaint to the Seoul Administrative Court earlier this month. The visa Yoo Seung Joon had applied for turned out to be an 'F-4' visa that is only given to Koreans residing overseas. He wrote in his complaint, "I am not a simple foreigner and have as much a right to stay [in Korea] as Koreans residing overseas under the law of an overseas countryman, so the rules of exclusion do not apply to me."
Previously, he has been denied reentry into Korea for the rest of his life for "underhandedly" evading mandatory military service by getting an American citizenship under what appeared to be the guise of a visit overseas.
This marks his first time filing a complaint to the court for being denied entrance into the country. Do you think he should give up already or that he should be allowed entrance?
