There's going to be a big change in MBC's 'Music Core'. Their ranking system will be no more. This means that there will only be performances, and no reveal of the number one artist at the end of each week's show.
MBC's side stated, "It's been decided that starting from the upcoming November 21st broadcast, the 480th episode, the ranking system will be abolished."
They explained the reason as, "Currently because of various album charts, the categorized total ranking is revealed in real-time. The truth is that the importance of revealing the ranking on broadcast has dropped."
They added, "On 'Show! Music Core', to replace the ranking system, from now on we will move forward towards the path of having an even more variety of genres of music."
'Show! Music Core' previously got rid of their ranking system back in January 2006 and then re-instated it in April 2013. Now after two and half years, they have gone back to their previous system of no ranking.
