Hyorin and Heize were faced off in the semifinals, with the former joined by rapper Basick and the latter by EXO's Chanyeol. Heize complimented Chanyeol, "It's great that he wrote his own lyrics and he gives me confidence because he did so well," after she saw his stage. Heize performed a song called "Don't Make Money," a bumping song with sincere lyrics about her family. Chanyeol's featuring leveled up Heize's performance, adding more color to an already radiant stage!

Hyorin showed her determination for the semifinals, saying, "I want this stage to be my best. I wanted to invite someone that is different." She showcased an ardent, heartfelt song, boosted by Basick's emotional rap.
Though both gave impressive performances, the audience seemed to have liked Hyorin's stage more, as she won by a close nine votes over Heize!
