BTOB's Minhyuk brought up his 'heyday' during the group's debut period when he was apparently more popular than Sungjae, particularly among older female idols.
On the November 11 edition of 'Radio Star', MC Kyuhyun had remarked at him, "After your appearance on 'Idol Star Athletics Championship (ISAC),' we heard that you were approached by a lot of girl group members?" Minhyuk replied, "It's not because of ISAC, but after our debut, older girl group members just told me that we should maintain a friendly relationship..."

Upon hearing this, Kim Gu Ra asked what may be a slightly sensitive question. He said, "Were you more popular than Sungjae at the time?" However, Minhyuk answered without hesitation, "Yes," drawing laughter. The idol explained, "I was more popular than Sungjae [during our debut period]. At the time, Sungjae was in high school."
